I still have warm feelings for the city of Oulu who hosted us several times when the ice in lake Vesi Järvi (Lahti) was not strong enough. It was cold and windy but the support of the city and from Pentti was great. And the >bar,disco and restaurant of Vaakuna where nice places to warm up again. Our eventweek at Weissensee is as follows. friday 26th of jan. the 1e two hundred km marathon for tourskaters. sat. 27th The Dutch National Marathon Championships over 100 km for topskaters. sun.28. time trial over 3 km for topskaters, mon.29 the 200 km for toptourskaters and a 100 km race for the topsskaters, tues. 30 a drop off race for topskaters, wedn.31 a criterium for topskaters over 40 km, thursday 1th of feb, the 2nd 200 km for tourskaters, friday the 2nd of februari the Alternative eleven city race for topskaters.

If you are planning to go to Weissensee let us know as soon as possible. Weissensee is a beautifull lakeside in the mountains,but with a small community of only 671 inhabitants and the Dutch are comming with 8.000 !!! people, so it is crowded. Skaters sleep up to 40 km from Weissensee. May be we can fix someting for you closer to the lakeside. Tonight a am leaving for Weissensee for a few days for the last meeting with the citycouncil of Weissensee. I will be back on sunday the 17th of dec. but I am able to read my e-mail also at Weissensee.
